Wow it looks like Nintendo is still on top of the gaming industry take a look at December 2009's NPD sales the PS3 barely bested the 360 and the Wii finally took the top spot from the Nintendo DS

And on the Software side nintendo still regins supreme with 6 of the top 10 being nintendo games and 360 with 3 and PS3 with a only 1

Their have been rumors of an actual successor to the Nintendo DS which would seem appropiete since it's been out since 2004, The rumors say it will sport a Tegra Processor, A big high res screen, Motion Control? (what motion on a handheld) and better graphics, Ithink Nintendo should release it sooner rather than later, But why would they the Nintendo DS is still selling, In fact it was the top selling system in 2009 in ALL contries.

Announced at E3 09, Super Mario Galaxy 2 will make his console platforming return in SMG2, I've personally been a mario fan since i can remember and i know this game wont disappoint hardcore gamers or casual gamers. While Nintendo typically limits its flagship 3D Mario titles to one per console generation, the publisher said that it was making an exception for the Wii with Super Mario Galaxy 2. The 3D platformer draws its aesthetic heavily from the first installment in the Galaxy series, with a brief trailer for the game showing Mario and his dinosaur friend Yoshi navigating a variety of interstellar planets.
